Hi Dr., I have had a couple of bouts of prostatitis off over the past few years and am being treated by a doctor. This week I saw the doctor because I had these symptoms: aching in testicles and groin, slight fever, fatigue, and mild difficulty urinating (no pain, just decreased flow). He prescribed 14 days of Cipro (500MG) to start with, and I began on Tuesday. By Thursday the pain in the testicles started to subside, but I also started feeling more like I had the flu .. tender lymph nodes under my jaw and more fatigue. Is this characteristic of prostatitis that is being treated? I don't recall experiencing this before. Last night it felt like my fever broke during the night, but I didn't sleep very well. I also notice that my urine is slightly cloudy. The whole thing has me worried because I'm not used to feeling tender lymph nodes. I am very anxious that something more serious could be going on. I can tend to obsess over health issues, and can get paralyzed over them. I sometimes wonder if I am making myself sicker by obsessing about everything I could possibly have. I appreciate your guidance.
