Testis pain

I am 39 year old widower , was married for last one and half years before my wife died of colon cancer a month ago.
For lat 7/8 days I am having mild pain in testis and lower abdomen.I don't find any lump or something like that. I am not involved in any other sexual activity other than masturbation for last 5 months. However I have some problem like acidity, gas and constipation which is most probably because of not sleeping well because of mental condition after my wife's death.

What could be the reason of that? What kind of specialist should I see if it continues?

Hi, Yea I see that this post is from 2009, but everything you just described I am currently going through all the way from the constant pain in the testicles all the way to constipation. So much constipation that it is actually giving me a hemorrhoid. What did your dr. Say this was and how exactly can I get rid of it? The pain is excruciating it has almost crippled me. So much to the point were at work I want to collapse on the floor. What are your suggestions

Hi,
I have observed that now I am having the pain  only after secretion of pre-ejaculation   fluids.

I thought it may be an important input so I share it.

Thanks

Hi
Thanks for keeping me posted!
Complete the course. There are two options. Either you can continue the antibiotic for another 2 days (total 7 days) or after 5 days wait for 72 and do a urine examination. If this shows infection, culture sensitivity may be required.
Please discuss this with your doctor on Saturday. Please let me know if there is any thing else and do keep me posted. Take care!

The frequency of pain has reduced considerably.Instead of continuous pain now it is occasional only (once or twice a day).Coming Saturday I will see my doctor again.

What do you think a culture sensitivity test for both semen and urine is still required?

happy to say the pain went away, i do think there was a major psychological aspect to my case.  The pain was like how a women feels with a period.  Because it made sitting difficult at work as your case.  The pain would only go away after ejaculate.

Keep us informed on your prognosis.

My doctor has not ruled out psychogenic and change in sexual habit factor. However as I usually masturbate once a week,my doctor thinks that it is normally safe for prostate and the area I have pain on pressing in addition to testis pain suggests it is an likely UTI case.
She also told that it may be case of some problem in pelvis as I have to sit for long hours before computer for my job.
However the case can be confirmed only after doing some tests and she will do that seeing the result of this medicine.
Anyway how are you now? Are you cured?

I was referring to excessive ejaculation on paxil, it seemed to make it difficult but increased libido abnormally.

You had a recent tragic event, so maybe your problem is psychogenic in nature? Or maybe now you are sexually for a while giving pain in testis? One urologist told me that too much or too little sex hurts the prostate.

Follow your doctor instructions and treat it as a UTI.  I am curious if its protatitis or a UTI?

I am really surprised to know about that.
Lets see what happens. However I have not taken any medicine before this for last 7 months or more.
One question - what did you mean by "abnormal ejaculation", I mean what was the exact problem with ejaculation?

i had this pain also and abnormal ejaculation but it was side effect of SSRI meds.  Had IBS but shocked that it caused that pain. Even when I had UTI didnt have pain there. CUrious to see if u get better or if diagnosis is correct.

Hi
Welcome to the forum!
Pain both in lower abdomen and testis can be due to UTI, stone, colitis and even IBS. Pain in testicle could be due to infection, like prostatitis, epididymitis or orchitis. Get a culture sensitivity test for both semen and urine done. It could be due to cancer of testis. It could be due to varicocele or spermatocele. An ultrasound of the testicles will diagnose cancer, varicocele and spermatocele. If the symptoms persist you may need to consult an urologist.
Hope this helps. Discuss these possibilities with your doctor. It is difficult to comment beyond this without examining. A comprehensive investigation is required keeping all the points in mind. Please let me know if there is any thing else and do keep me posted. Take care!
