Penis Stain

Ok, I am 19 years old. When I was a kid, I had a lilttle bump on my penis. I showed the doctors and he did nothing about it as I remember.  Now after 10 years, the front part of the penis head is black. It is like a stain covering half of the head. It is really annoying and disturbing explaing to my girlfriends what it is. Is there anything  I can do to remove this?

Hi,

Is this discolored area found on the area affected by the bump?

Is the bump still present?

Firstly , this discoloration in your penis needs to be assessed by your urologist. As this has been present for a few years already, this may not be something of utmost concern unless there is a significant change in the appearance or behaviour of the lesion.

I am suspecting that this may be a hyperpigmented area , more likely a birthmark. Are there other similar lesions in the body?A complete assessment by your urologist or dermatologist is necessary. This has not really been symptomatic and you have not mentioned  any bleeding, pain or itchiness.

After a complete assessment ,your physician will decide if this needs to be removed.

Do not unnecessarily manipulate the area to avoid any irritation.

Hi,

I just have a few questions to clarify some points:

Has this discoloration been present for some time already or is this something that has occurred abruptly?

Was there any previous trauma or injury to the area?

Is the area itchy or painful?

Is it flat or elevated? Is there scaling or does it appear shiny and plaquelike?

Any history of allergies or recurrent infections?

Any other associated symptoms like a penile discharge or changes in urinary patterns?
