Hi,
Varicocele embolization is definitely a good technique to treat varicocele but most oft he surgeons actually do surgery as they are not well versed with the technique. In this a coil is inserted in the feeding veins and with clotting the coil actually produces a local clot preventing the flow of the blood to the varicocele. Embolization has got several advantages like no big incision is required like in surgery, it can be done under local anaesthesia, and chances of post-operative complications are less. However, it needs to be done by an expert. You can always entertain this option.I sincerely hope that helps. Take care.

Hi,
You see, there’s no medical treatment of varicocele and ultimately you’ll have to undergo surgery as that’s the definitive treatment of varicocele. For the same, I’ll suggest you to consult a urologist regarding the right time to get operated. Once the varicocele starts giving rise to the pain/discomfort, it definitely becomes an indication of surgery. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care.
