Hello Dr, thank you .
I am a 35 yr m, I am worried and NEVER had Urology prob. before 10/05.
From 10/05 - 12/05, these symptoms:
1. Tingling bladder area to the tip of penis.
2. Frequent Urination ( 3 times in the morning, 2 times at night, etc.)
3. Pain base of my penis to the tip, mostly tip.
4. Sometimes normal urination, sometimes trickle I would have spotting afterwards.
4. NO VISIBLE BLOOD PRESENT
I wrote it off as being overweight (6'4'', 275).
However, I went to my GP in Dec '05 and everything was normal except TRACE Hematuria in a urine sample (never before). He was not concerned, but being proactive about my health, I set myself up for the UROLOGIST.
This Urologist has a very good reputation (U of Michigan, etc.). He did the tests in 01/06:
1. Urine Sample-NO BLOOD WHATSOEVER
2. Prostate Massage- SOMEWHAT TENDER, BUT NORMAL SIZE
3. CT SCAN (regular CT NOT Spiral or 3d) of bladder, kidneys and uters- PERFECTLY NORMAL (No Stones, etc.)
4. Diagnosed as having chronic non-bacterial Prostatisis (no UTI,
5. Said come back in 6 mos. for Follow up
lost 30 lbs eating right, working out, tingling gone.
Went back Urologist Follow up 8/06 (put 20 lbs back on, stress)
1. TRACE BLOOD URINE!
He then asked me if had the CT Scan yet and I said yes.
This concerned me; he paused a second (like he was thinking about something of what to do) I said to him, "I am having no symptoms" because afraid would find something and he said,
"OK because you had the CT I am not worried but come back for FOLLOW UP IN 2 YEARS!"
I am not sure it is just that I am focusing on it now, but I am actually having the FOLLOWING SYMPTOMS: (Drinking normal amounts of fluid, 20oz at breakfast, lunch, dinner, etc.)
1. Urinating 3 times in the morning, 3 times in the afternoon and 3 times in the middle of the night.
2. Sometimes urinate normal, sometimes (usually around 6PM or after working out) urinate in a trikle and there is urine spotting.
3. still NO Visible Blood
4. Sometimes slight pain when urinating, sometimes none.
5. Foamy Urine in the bowl, but not when urinating
6. Very light tingling bladder up to penis tip, and penis pain at TIP.
questions as I want to catch BC early (80-90% success):
1. called Urologist to ask about CT SCAN. Nurse said CT SCAN NOT rule out BC, on internet and Urologist seem to think it will, your opinion?
2. If Bladder Cancer usually Gross Hemeturia, where you can see it or can it be trace?
3. I read that tingling DEFINITLY means bladder cancer (from another BC story on the internet), is this true?
4. My only risk factor(non smoke, no chemicals, no fam) is took Scarrin from 2002-2005 on a regular basis. Would cause BC so soon?
5. Taking 160mg of aspirin and walk treadmill, could cause trace blood in urine?
6. Need CYSTO test and 2nd opinion?
7. 2yrs too long?
8. Saw avg. age 68 for BC, is 35 too young? You seen age 35 BC before?
9. Could Prostatitis Cause These Symptoms?
