Is it normal that when a man urinates that his penis turns side ways ?
And it looks like it bulges underneath?
Hi,
Treatment will be effective only if its specifically what the infective organism is susceptible to. That means the culture sensitivity is very essential and you should have it done at the earliest to find the right antibiotic.
Once the right antibiotic is identified, the course of treatment will only be over a short period.
Even a mild flu can make one feel depressed and really low, so it is understandable that you feel moody and powerless to control your feelings. As your condition gets the right treatment, you will start feeling better.
Pain draws away strength and also affects your state of mind, so take pain meds for the pain. This can be tylenol or something stronger.
Do start yourself on the Vitamin B-complex and the seafood is for vitamins A and E which help make the mucosa in the body stronger and resistant to infections.
Taking a walk or exercise gets the adrenaline flowing and releases endorphins which help keep you happy and also help manage pain.
I think you should insist on a culture sensitivity for the urinary bacteria and discuss radioimaging options that can help identify why the UTIs occur so frequently.
Think of the options open to you. Speak to a counselor or a therapist to get things in perspective.

I'am 32 yr old male.
I have done urine test that show the infection, but have not had it cultured. I have become very moody and can't control it.
I don't feel the right pressure when i pee.
I penis seems to go sideways when i pee.
I have the feeling that i have to go pee but not much comes out.
back pain. bloated feeling sometimes.
What do you think i should do?
My doctor is taking his time figuring this out and i'm in pain.
I drink lots of water and cranberry juice but i don't feel much difference.
Hi,
Are you male or female?
How old are you?
What are your symptoms at present?
Have you had a culture sensitivity done for urine?
It is possible that the organism that is causing the infecion can be resistant to ciprofloxacin, such as certain E.Coli.
You will need to have a urinalysis done to check whether there are any bacteria in your urine.
This will be followed by a culture sensitivity test for the infective organism.
Then, you will be prescribed a couse of antibiotics depending on the drug the organism is sensitive to.
If you have been prone to these infections, you need to evaluate your hygiene and nutritional status.
Decreased levels of micronutrients in food and deficits in the body predispose to infections.
You can do the following:
Drink at least 2000 ml of fluids per day (8 glasses).
Drink cranberry juice and other citrus juices.
Increase intake of calcium by consuming calcium-containing foods, such as, milk and yoghurt.
Take tylenol for the pain every 6-8 hours. Do not continue this medication for more than 3 days without consulting your doctor.
Use a heating pad for the back pain and cramps.
Maintain hygiene. Always wipe from front to back.
Avoid the use of any chemicals or irritating substance at the urethral opening and surrounding area.
Start taking Vitamin B-complex supplements.
If nonvegetarian, increase your seafood intake (fish).
Pass urine before and after every sexual encounter.
If the problem recurs, you will need to have radiological imaging done to check for any anatomical defects in the tract or vesicoureteral reflux.
Do keep us posted on your doubts and progress.
