blood in semen

A few months ago I found blood in my urine and seman.  I went to my urologist.  A CAT Scan was done and nothing abnormal was found.  The blood in the unine and seman went away.  This week I am again finding blood in my seman. Yesterdauy, there was some blood in my urine at the start ofthe stram. It seems to be more than before.  There is no pain assocated with ejaculation.  Last month I went through a bout of prostitus.
that has cleared up. Is this blood something to be concerned about?

I had blood in my seman and in the frst urine after sex today, I have been hurting for the pass two days in my back and hips. I'm being treated for Myasthinia Gravis and on pyridostigmine 1/2 tablet 4 times a day. I can't say the medicine is doing me much good as I'm still weak and short of breath. Is this medicine the cause of the blood in my seman and urine?

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hello,
Blood in semen is called hematospermia and is not usual. Common causes include infections; inflammation of the prostate (prostatitis), epididymis (epididymitis), or urethra (urethritis) ; calculi (stones )in the seminal vesicles or prostate ; polyps in the urethra ; ejaculation-duct obstructions ; cysts, hemorrhage, or other abnormalities in the seminal vesicles and benign or malignant tumors of the reproductive tract.

Diagnosed by physical examination and investigations like urinalysis, semen analysis and ultrasound and MRI. Treatment will depend on the diagnosis. So please consult a urologist and get yourself evaluated for these possibilities. Hope it helps. Take care and regards.
