HI
I am 38 year old women, I don’t know where to contact about this issue, I have 3 children and am very healthy apart from never-ending ongoing UTIs for over 4 years, sometimes with 6 month gaps I have been hospitalised once and have lots of different antib's. I have had all the tests done, nothing showing. Finally, I had a pelvis ultra sound yesterday in my hospital and they discovered what they thought is congenital abnormality in one of my kidneys, it was confirmed after extensive IPV slides, they told me there is a duplicated urethra and my left kidney is dilated. The say it looks like I will need surgery remove about 1/3 of my left kidney?
Is this serious?, what is the outcome of something like this? Are there other symptoms apart from infections?
I am obviously really worried about this, so a speedy reply would be most appreciated?! What is the next step for me. I don’t get paid for being off work and am the only Income provider so this is causing a great deal of stress for me.
