I'm having irregual periods & have noticed that I haven't urinated for 2 days & have no urges to do so.
I have pain on my left side between my hip & my belly button, I've been blaming the pain on my strange period (it lasted 30 days) but all my obgyn tests, pap, ultra sounds, blood, endo biopsy, are fine, he said my blood work is better than his.
This pain on my left varies, right now it's mild & very livable, last week it was like someone was scratching trying to get out.
Since tests are normal I guess I should stop searching for an answer but maybe I was looking in the wrong place, Can Urology & female problems over lap? I have an appointment with my regular dr. Tuesday.

I cannot give a concrete answer without examination, or without knowing where the pain is.
The pelvic ultrasound would rule out many of the major ovary/uterus issues that can cause pain.
If there is urinary urgency, a cystoscopy or urodynamic studies can be considered.
Interstitial cystitis can be considered as well if the tests continue to be negative. If suspected, a potassium sensitivity test can be done.
Followup with your personal physician is essential.
