Hello,
My name is Rachel, I am 19 years old.
Recently I have felt the need to go to the toilet a lot it is not painful however nothing happens when I go.
Any ideas to why this could be happening, is there any chance it could be an STI?
Thanks.

Hi Shelly
I saw your post on the internet, i know it was posted a few years ago but i was wondering if you could offer me some advice.
After a year of utis and thrush, i got a mild uti in November and it never got better (although i was bacteria free after taking antibiotics). My symptoms were frequency and urgency. I felt like a drank afew sips and would need to urinate loads. Now, 6 months later I also feel bladder pain sometimes. I saw a urologist, who did a cystoscopy and he thinks it is not IC, but just pelvic floor contactions, made worse by stress. Ive been taking muscle relaxers for 6 weeks now, it hasnt made much difference to the urgency/frequency and i still get the bladder pain, but i think my muscles between my legs are slightly less clenched as sometimes before, they felt pernmanently clenched and i couldnt unclench them.
I find it hard to believe that my symptoms are only from tight muscles, especially as i feel irritation and pain in my bladder sometime. Do you think it could be IC? He just did a basic cystoscopy, he didnt test for potassium or all those special tests.
Any advice would be great. Thanks
