numbness in penis

can anyone tell me why I develope numbness in my penis while having sex.  I have feeling when I first start out and everything is good but after a 5 to 10 min the sensation of numbness happens and i cant feel anything. I have been noticing that it is getting worse as time goes by. At first it was once in a while now it seems that it happens all the time.  Now sex seems like work.  I do have High blood pressure and i'm in my 40's now. What is going on?

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hello,
Penile numbness can be due to operation, nerve damage, due to infection - gonorrhoea, chlamydia etc, diabetes, thyroid disease or kidney stones.

You should consult your doctor to rule out the above causes and find out the further management plan in your case. Get investigations like blood sugar levels, thyroid tests, urethral swab and nerve tests done. It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.
