Hi,
How are you? Interstitial cystitis is a inflammatory disorder of the bladder without infection. As, you mentioned that you had repeated attacks of UTI recurring after periodic treatment, that leads us towards non infectious causes for inflammation. I would suggest that you discuss with your doctor regarding this and get a cystoscopy done by a urologist for further confirmation.

i dont understand why you have to have an infection before you can see one!!thats ridiculous!if youre having symptoms and are in pain then you have a right to see a specialist,is there another doctor in the practice you feel you can go to for a second opinion??you have patients rights hun, dont give up until you get referredX

Hi,
How are you? Recurrent UTI’s with negative cultures suggest of inflammation without infection. The common causes for this could be interstitial cystitis or cystitis glandularis.
I would suggest that you visit a urologist and get a cystoscopy done for confirmation of diagnosis and further assistance on treatment.
