question

For years I've practiced prolonged masturbation by stopping just before ejaculating  then starting again over and over for hours before finally ejaculating. I know this is not natural and about a year ago I started feeling internal pain in the pubic area and lower abdomen and also on both sides of my torso just below where the ribs stop. The pain is not real strong but it's irritating. The sensation is intermittent. I also have painful ejaculations occasionally, not every time. I also sometimes feel  irritation in the area where the bladder and urethra meet when I urinate, but more often it feels normal. There is no perineal pain. The urologist said he didn't think it was prostatitis. He thought it could be hernia, but I had that checked and it wasn't that. Gon and Chlam. tests were negative. Is it possible I inflammed some tissues or muscles or otherwise did some damage?  I  appreciate any information you can give me.

I agree that checking for infection should be done first.  The prostate can be palpated during a rectal exam or imaged during a transrectal ultrasound.

If there is irritation when urinating, a cystoscopy can be done to evaluate for anatomical causes like a urethral polyp or stricture.

Imaging the pelvic area with a CT scan can be considered to confirm the presence of a hernia.

These options can be discussed with your personal physician.

Followup with your personal physician is essential.
