Hi,

If the layer appears under the foreskin covering the glans, it could just be the normal secretion there called smegma. Maintain good hygiene will ensure that the smegma does not accumulate and will prevent any growth of bacteria in it.

Most of the bacteria that cause urinary tract infections can be cultured in different media based on being identified in a urine exam.

Since the issue of an HIV infection weighs on your mind so often, it would be a good idea to have yourself tested for HIV.

Do speak with your doctor regarding the same.

Hi,

Any infection in the penis or groin region can cause pain in the testes also.

It is possible that there could be an infection of the testes with S.aureus.
Stress usually does not cause testicular pain.
However, it can predispose you to infections and other inflammatory diseases which cause testicular pain.

As the diagnosis has been made for you, you should focus on treatment of the condition. That includes:

Drinking plenty of fluids, in excess of 2000 ml per day.
Increasing the intake of natural sources of Vitamin C, such as citrus juices.
Maintaining hygiene locally around the penis and groin.
Avoiding trauma to your genitals.
Increasing intake of seafood or codliver oil capsules to aid healing.
Oral zinc to aid healing.

Do keep us posted on your doubts and progress.

Hi,

If you have had unprotected sex and suspect that you could have been exposed to HIV infection, it would be better to have the test to know for sure. If the test results are negative, it will set your mind at rest and you will be clear on your status.

If the test results are positive, you can start treatment with regimens prescribed for HIV-positive individuals and know that all the treatment you receive for any condition will be different from those provided HIV-negative individuals, to ensure you stay healthier.

HIV infection does not mean that you have AIDS. It just means that you are at risk for developing AIDS. And there are appropriate regimens that will prevent AIDS for sveral years.

Also, knowing your HIV status will help you instill safe sex practices so as not to infect any current or prospective partners.

That said, Staph. aureus in your urine does not in any way suggest that you have an HIV infection.

Hi,

A urinary tract infection with Staph. aureus can be treated with antibiotics that the organism is sensitive to.

If the bacteria are present in small numbers, it just means there are small in number.

Pain in the pelvis can be a result of the infection.

Pain in the testes can be due to an infection of the epididymis.
Since your unprotected sexual encounter was 3 years ago, it is possible that any infection with HIV would be detectable on ELISA test.

If in doubt, you can have your practitioner advice an ELISA for HIV.

You need to drink plenty of fluids - in excess of 2000 ml per day to clear out the infection.
This should be in addition to the antibiotics that can be prescribed by your physician.

You can take tylenol for the pain.

Do keep us posted on your doubts and progress.
