Possible kidney stone related pain?

I was wondering if kidney stone pain could last a couple months being dull and achy and sometimes sharp. I also have microscopic hematuria, and feel very nauseous at times (not always assoc. w/pain though). I have been extremely tired for months and also noticed some pieces in my urine that look like shredded skin (sorry) usually white, once light pink. One pain that I feel everyday is this dull ache where I would guess my left ovary is. If anyone has any ideas please let me know!! I meet a new dr. this wed. and had a ct scan last friday, but no results yet. Thankyou

The report also said the right ureter is not completely opacified...I'm not possitive what this mean either!?

I never heard of any urine void cytology being done, they have recommended a cystoscopy, and I'm seeing a urologist wednesday (not sure if it will be done then). The swollen gland was very small then a month later increased to the size it is now, still not very big, but has stayed like this for about 3 months now and is not red, or ever been tender. I can see and feel it under my skin. My ob/gyn told me the cysts were normal and everyone has them and will go away on their own. The ct report says there are bilateral ovarian cysts and fluid in pelvic are. I had a pap about 2 1/2 months ago, everything normal. Also no infections found. I have been to Mexico twice, years ago...what could that be in relation to?

Good to hear that the results were fine.

Was a urine void cytology done? Has your physician discussed the possibility of a cystoscopy?

You have mentioned of a swollen gland in the groin area.Is this tender, red , and has enlarged in the past three months? A complete pelvic examination including a pap smear may help. Also your ovarian cyst may need to monitored.Have a follow up consult with your gynecologist. An infectious process may yet need to be ruled out.Any exposure with tuberculosis or history of foreign travel?Just a thought.

My scans came back negative for everything...I'm wondering if this tiny cyst on my ovaries has grown causing these pains even though I went on birth control...the pain is in my back, abdomen, pevic area and groin. And I have microscopic hematuria, and an overall feeling of being sick and extremely tired, also a swollen gland in groin that doesn't hurt at all and been there for about 3 months. I'm very lost and confused, one doctor thought endometriosis, but I'd be shocked if that's what is it!! Any thoughts are greatly appreciated...Thankyou so much!!

Is this pain located in the abdomen or in the back?

Kidney stones may present with a dull ache and for as long as the stone stays within the kidneys the pain remains dull and quite tolerable. As it dislodges and passes through the ureters , then a severe sharp spasmic pain may be felt. The pain of a stone as it travels down the ureters may be referred to the lower abdomen or groin area.

Microscopic hematuria may denote a glomerular ( kidney ) involvement or something that may involve other stuctures like the ureters and bladder.

Wait for the results of the scan. This will guide the next step of management.
