Hi,

It is necessary to provide adequate support to the scrotum in view of the edema.

No, the inflammation will not cause any lon-term damages if allowed to heal completely.

You can also try scrotal elevation when lying down as it helps in reducing the swelling.

Do try the hot bath soaking. It will also aid healing.

Avoid any strenuous exertion that may cause increased abdominal pressure that may aggravate the condition.

The doppler will pick up blood flow and the presence of fluid.

Hi,

It is possible that the rough handling of the testicle could have caused some trauma or irritation to the testicle that has resulted in an inflammation.

You can take tylenol for the pain every 4-6 hours and this will also have some antiinflammatory effect.
Additionally, sitting in a hot bath for 10-15 min every day twice or thrice can provide pain relief and mediate healing.

If you have access to a prescription for antibiotics, you can start a course of ciprofloxacin 500 mg twice daily for 5 days.

Do keep us posted on your doubts and progress.
regards
