uti - elevated lymphocytes?

Hello,

I had a uti when I did my last cbc. Everything was normal but my lymphocytes were a bit out of range (on the high side). Just wondering if that could be caused by the uti?

Thanks!

Thanks for the reply. I had a cbc and full check up. I'm in tip top shape apparently, doc didn't really explain it. I guess everything else was normal enough for him not to mention it, but it's the first out of range result I've ever had..

Thanks again.

Hi,

Increased lymphocyte count may indicate an underlying viral infection. Most UTI 's are caused by a bacterial infection. UTI due to a viral origin is known to be rare. Most likely , you may have an underlying viral infcetion from a different focus.

A complete physical examination  may be able to determine the cause.
