weight gain needed!!!

hi my partner has been experiencing abdo pain over a period of 4 years and after many tests we think we have narrowed it down to dairy products causing the problem, he has been tested for lactose intolorance and doesnt have that so it must be something else in dairy. he has lost a considerable ammount of weight over the years and hates it he has tried upping his calorie intake before we found out his dairy intolorance and it had no effect and he tried weight gainer shakes with milk and it made him sick cause of his intolorance, so we would like to hopefully get some advice on how he can gain weight with dairyfree products, he doesnt eat alot of veg either as he hates it only peas and sweetcorn and tomatoes if its in a sauce lol, i have searched the net and only found tips on weight loss PLEASE HELP!!!!
Many thanks

First find out main cause of weight loss and then try different things otherwise the effect will be reverse. Consult with good nutritionist or dietician.

Hi thanks for replying,
he has bin in and out of hospital having tests because he was getting severe stomach cramps and nausea every day for four years and it was ruining his life, he had endoscopy, colonoscopy, full blood counts ultra sounds and was tested for lactose intolorance which came back negative the doctors couldnt find anything wrong. he had a tooth abcess recently and cut out drinking tea and instantly his stomache calmed down, so we put him on a dairy free diet to try it out and he doesnt feel sick anymore, every now and again he will get stomache ache but nothing at all like before it used to be constant, his weight loss was due to his stomache being the way that it was and he is desperate to put on weight and wants a way to do it dairy free. but we need help to achieve this. many thanks

Before recommending a specific diet to help him gain weight, it would seem to be important to know exactly why he has lost so much weight - it's not clear from your post that you have an answer yet.  It might also be helpful (in addition to seeing a physician) to see a nutritionist to help put together a balanced plan.
