I would so love to join your club!
Hey, I have also started a diet... we can whine to each other!
I've been thinking about your post a bit. I know what it feels like to feel like you want or need that support/ accountability.
I don't think I could help motivate or help keep anyone accountable. Not on a regular basis and not for any length of time anyway. (And lifestyle changes do take time).
My thought today was that a person needs to be able to hold themselves accountable for themselves to become successful. Asking to be held accountable almost seems like you're not personally committed to the goal. Not ready to make the commitment or take responsibility for it.
I guess sometimes we also need that external motivation to help us get our foot in the door so that we can learn to take full responsibility for ourselves and our own behaviors.
Not sure whether to offer support or whether you would even like it from me. ??
Someone also said there was a weight loss and healthy lifestyle community forum.

bluekoolaid - great idea!
There are multiple research studies that show that people who have 'weight loss buddies,' whether on-line or in person, tend to lose more weight than people who don't. I believe that looking for a buddy actually shows that you are holding yourself accountable - it's a great step.
Best of luck, and hope you find helpful people with similar goals on this forum!
