You definitely need fruits and veggies. I was using brown rice too, until I found out about the arsenic in it. This is what I do, super simple and healthy. Smoothie: collard greens, kale ( I recommend washing them then freezing) spinach, carrot, a piece of ginger root, whatever fruit you have on hand, I use frozen because its cheaper and more convenient. Then I put in a scoop of ground flax seed, full of omega 3 fatty acids which are awesome for your heart and ***** the fat out of your body. Then for liquid I use 100% juice and soy milk. Not that Silk crap. I mean good soy milk. I did use yogurt for a while, but it has more sugar than soy milk and soy milk has more protein and calcium. You can't even taste the veggies. Its full of protein, calcium, omega 3s, pretty much all the vitamins you need in the day. Also, I make this salad, no dressing needed. You just use whatever dry beans you want and wash them and soak them in water overnight. Then cook the beans on the stove for about 2 hours, then mush with a potato masher and flavor them, they last for days. I put them in a salad with romaine lettuce and spinach, avocado, tomatoes and salsa, you can put whatever you want in it. Why make the beans from scratch you ask. Well, canned refried beans are more money and those beans are cooked in LARD, which makes the beans full of fat and sodium. Cooking beans from scratch are all protein and no fat. Those are just a couple of things I do.
Don't you eat any fruits and vegetables? Or eat meat? From what I can tell, you have very little nourishment in your meals.
I'm not familiar with mee hon soup. Can you tell me what's in it?
White rice is very starchy and should be limited, if you are trying to lose weight. Brown rice is much more nourishing.
