Am I pregnant even with a negative test? I'm having symptoms please advise!!!

really need some advice so lets begin:

I always carry on a pack of pills so I dont have a period and it was about 4months since my last one so I decided it was time I had one I had missed a few pills where I had been on holiday but i assumed it would be ok since Ive been on the pill constantly for 4months.

So I came off my pill on the sunday night (25th sept) but I had sex the friday and that day and haven't taken my pill since and now all week I have had abdominal pain and a light brown discharge in my underwear. I took a test last night and it said negative but I've read everywhere you have to wait atleast 2weeks sometimes longer before you can tell.

Could I be pregnant at all?

I would really appreciate any advice because I might be worrying so much that I'm making these feelings happen
I just want to know instead of having to wait ages, do the symptoms sound like pregnancy?? This is all new to me so I don't know what I'm feeling.

Thank you
x

Hello,
This brownish spotting can be due to implantation bleeding. You can test 1 week- 10 days after you miss your periods or you can test for pregnancy by a highly sensitive pregnancy test 10 days post ovulation with a sensitive ( 20 - 25 mIU ) pregnancy test.. Also I would suggest you to get your serum HCG levels estimated since this is more specific than urine for pregnancy tests. The HCG (it is a hormone) levels rise only in pregnancy and its presence will confirm the status of your pregnancy.

I hope it helps. It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.

of course you could be pregnant. why r u continuously taking your pill instead of taking your break to have a period? your womb needs to get rid of all that blood thats not good for you. this light brown discharge and cramping cud indeed be implantation bleeding and you might have to wait a week or so for a positive result. best time to take a test is your 1st pee in the morning midstream or you can go to your DR and get a blood test to see if you are pregnant [this is very accurate]. your right worrying will put things on hold so try to relax for now or get the blood test done. if you arent pregnant let this be a lesson learnt now to take your pill correctly. good luck and best wishes
