After birth

Hi i am 17 years old, and just had a baby girl on march 13, 2010 so she is currently 5 weeks old.
I have a few questions about changes that have happened.

1) my doctor told me i could bleed anywhere from 3-6 weeks after pregnancy.
I bleed for two , stopped for one, and now im going on my second week of bleeding again, is this my period?
Or is this still me bleeding from my daughter being born?

2) another thing, i have noticed somewhat of ance on my vagina and im wondering what this could be from?
I am very clean, shower on a regular basis, so i know its not that.

and lastly, im not overweight or anything, and my underwear dont feel like there to tight for me at all, but where my underwear touches my skin between my inner theigh and vagina, there are little bumps almost like that my underwear have caused them, adn they hurt everytime i bed a certain way or take down my underwear to go to the bathroom, or put them back on.
what can i do to help this?

Thank you so much !
I tend to get worried about anything out of the ordinary, and just want to make sure that it doesn't seem like anything serious!

Congratulation on your baby girl!!!

Well, as long as you are not bleeding heavily, i don't thing there is need to worry.....if you bleed heavy go and see a doctor. I assume that you will go to your 6 week check-up soon, then your doctor will tell you if everything is healed and in order and your uterus is back to normal size.
To the bleeding, this is your period so to speak...your uterus is cleaning itself out!!!

The acne that you are experiencing could come from the blood and sweat...i would think that will go away soon.

The little pumps could be a rash, heat-pumps, again caused by irritated and sweaty skin.
what you can do is wash it with mild soap and then apply baby powder to keep it dry longer....if the powder does not work you can try your baby's rash cream, that will keep the moister away as well and will give your skin a chance to heal.
Also i suggest to get the underwear boy short style...as it does not sit exactly between your legs and your private area, and the shorts go further down your leg preventing the material to further irritate the skin.

I don't think any of these things are serious, but if they cause you more trouble and the bleeding is heavy or gets heavier, please go and see a doctor, other wise just take good care and go to your check up.

Good luck!!!
