Am I pregnant?!?

Ok, so my Fiance and I have been together for 7 years... We have a 2 year old little boy and have recently been trying to conceive for a second one! The first day of my last period was Oct 11, 2009. I had a blood test about 2-3 weeks ago and it came back negative, but my Dr. said I could be too early.. now today, nov 30 i have light bleeding, but it puts me way off schedule for my cycle. its many weeks late and what should be a week early.. i have no cramps or anything like any other period.. and I EAT EAT EAT, very sleepy/lazy, get light headed and a little dizzy sometimes when I stand up from sitting or laying down, and just feel pregnant! Could I possibly be pregnant?? and also just incase im not is there any advice you can give on making conception a little easier?? I hate the whole waiting game every month!!! Thanks to all in advance!!

I've been reading up about pregnancy and it seems for the best chance of getting pregnant, you need the little swimmers in there waiting for the egg to be released. Signs of ovulation are an egg whiteish discharge.... quite watery/clear/stretchy. The egg will only survive for about 24 hours. That's why it's best to have the sperm already in there waiting to fertilize the egg before ovulation occurs so it's good to track your cycle so that you have an idea of when ovulation is going to take place. Also... male sperm is faster but doesn't last as long as female sperm which is stronger but slower to swim.

Therefore, if you hope to have a girl you need to have sex several days before ovulation... about 4 days maybe so that most of the male sperm dies off and the female sperm is left to fertilize the egg. Alternatively if you want a boy you shoudl have sex as near to ovulation as possible. Also... it's best to avoid sex every day as this lowers the quality of the sperm. It's all about quality, not quantity... so I've read anyway. I've also read that female sperm survives better in an acidic environment... so it's best to avoid orgasm if you want a girl as that will make the environment more alkaline which suits male sperm better.

Hope that helps :o)
