Anyone else use Seasonique (Birth Control)?

I just started using Seasonique (used to be called Seasonal) Dec 19,2006 and I'm hoping there will be some ladies on here that can provide me with some feed back. I was hoping I would be able to read the insert that was supposed to come with the filled prescription, but the pharmacy didn't include it in the bag. Anywho, can anyone tell me if they had swollen, sore breast and sore nipples when they first started taking this type of bc? My stomach is also a little tender to the touch. I'm just wanting to see if anyone else experienced these side effects when first starting this type of bc. I used to use the Nuva Ring prior to the switch. Also, for those of you who have been using this type of bc for awhile, how do you like it? I'm still trying to get used to taking a pill daily, I've only had to double up twice so far. Thanks in advance for your feed back.

I HATE this BC pill!  I started the pill at recommendation of my M.D. due to anemia and the thought was I would only get my period 4 times per year, and hence, improve the anemia thing.  Well, not only have I been bleeding like a normal period for 2.5 weeks without any look to slowing down, but I am an emotional wreck!  I get very down and depressed for days, weepy, angry, and then because I am anemic, I have NO energy.  Not to mention no ability to have sex with my husband for almost 3 weeks now!  I cannot even find any resolution to being able stop it!  I have read several other posts with hopes to find a "cure" to stopping the bleeding, but nothing!  This pill should be taken off the market!

Hello,

I usually don't post on these things, especially if I have something negative to say, but I felt this should be my exception.

I started taking this pill almost 3 months ago and I am on no other medication. The first 3-4 weeks I felt completely normal and was pretty excited about only getting my period 4 times a year. Then I noticed spotting occurring, at first just a little bit but then it got like I was actually having a period. Next, I started crying for days and became super depressed. I attested to being a recent college grad and not yet finding a job, but looking back on it I have never been that depressed before in my life. Finally, every time I took a shower I noticed multiple hairs coming off and in my hands.

When I was about 3 weeks away from finishing my final pack, I couldn't take it anymore. I went online and found multiple other testimonials of other women going through the same thing as me. I felt beyond relieved. I started taking it that day and now it's been about 2 weeks since I've stopped taking it. I feel fantastic, not only am I no longer crying for hours and having a general gloom about the world, I noticed I lost a lot of bloat. I am very happy with my decision.

I really hope this helps someone else out, because the previous posts helped me come to my senses.
