It may just be a total coincidence that her eating habits changed at around the same time that she got her injections. And yes, what goes in, must come out... So to speak. LOL
I had several that were perfectly content to just have their breast or bottle and then I had a couple that I HAD to supplement with cereal as well. They acted like they were starving to death! I did let my pediatrician know what I was doing. He agreed taht babies are all different and some are just ready for real food sooner than others. I also gave 4 ounces of water in between meals which alo kept them very hydrated. To this day, my kids LOVE water, which is rare in teens and pre- teens.. Just follow that instinct in your gut and you and baby will be just fine.
Just to let you know regarding injections, babies tend to sometimes not want to eat and they cry a lot. It's very very normal. My kids get react with fever. nothing to be alarmed about.
thanks
when amber, my daughter was first born, she was only drinking 2-4 oz's, now she is 3 months and 2 days old, she is drinking 8 ounze bottles, but im gona try proper baby food when she is four months.
thanks for your help darl, much appreciated xxx
I would like to think it is because she is getting older so she is eating more therefore she is going to remove more.....When MOST and I do me most not all, babies are born they only eat four ounces at a time every 2 to four hours. Then as they get older the amount of fluid intake is more it usually moves from four ounces to 6 then usually most babies are taking in 8 ounces by the time they are 9 months. That is not for all children EVERY child is differnt. Most will eat every two to four hours. That is a given. Now My son wanted two 8 ounce bottles in one sitting by time he was four months. I did not want to do that to him. Some parents....I am not telling you to do this that is not my intention put some of the Rice baby cearal in their infants bottle. Some times the formula or breast milk does not feel filling. that is what the cearal does for them. Then they are only eating a 8 ounce bottle every two to four hours. Not 16 ouces like my son wanted. The reason I am not telling you to do this is it is not for all babies. NOT ALL BABIES need to have this for them just some do. That and your peditrition does recomend you do this to a child under 6 months of age due to you not knowing if there Digestive track handle it. When I did it with my son I only put a very little bit in his bottle at first to make sure that there would be no issue with constipation. 6 months is the norm for starting you infant on baby food. Baby cearal I have seen done a bit earlier. I am not the only mother that took this route and I most certainly won't be the last. You know child best. If you feel she is taking too much in you should see your pediatrition or consult one of your family members for more seggestions. Good luck!
