If you have menses currently then it means that most likely you are not pregnant.
If you become pregnant then menses does not take place.
Having sex right before your period will not make you pregnant if that is your question. You ovulate about 14 days after your period starts and if you have unprotected sex during that time, you may get pregnant.
A period re-sets the clock, unless it wasn't really a period but just some odd bleeding. You have a period 14 days after you ovulate, so if you had sex 7 days before your period began, you had it too late to get pregnant this month.
