Bleeding at 6 1/2 weeks after birth

I have had unexplained bleeding for a few days now, it started off brown but has gone to red.  I am breastfeeding, could this be my period or something else?  I had surgery to remove my placenta right after birth, so that shouldn't be a problem.  I am also taking Microlut (the mini-pill), could that have anything to do with the bleeding?

Could be your period I got my period right after I stopped bleeding from giving birth and I was breast feeding!

I'd call the doctor if you were done bleeding and have started up again.  If this is just a continuation of post-birth bleeding, I'd be less concerned.  My guess is the mini-pill, but you're better off with a medical opinion.
