Brown discharge

Hi im not sure if im posting in the right place or not, but im sorta freakin out, i was on depovera for a year and a half, i got my last shot in aug of 2007, then i was suppose to go back in nov but i didnt. but now i am having a brown discharge, and im not sure why. everything i have tried to find out about this is has something to do with preganacy. is this the only time this happens? any advice would be appricate because i have no clue what is going on. I havent had my period in over a year bc of the deop shot, so i dont know if im pregnant or not or if this brown discharge is a sign of being pregnant or if it could mean something else.
