Bump on my labia

Today, I had a small irritation in my genital area.
I ignored it at first, but then it graduated to a minor itch.
I found a small bump on my labia minora.
It didn't hurt at first, but as I was shocked, I managed to irritate it.
I'd never noticed it before, and neither has my partner.
I've read some articles, but they never have the same symptoms I do.
The bump is less than half the size of a pea, I'd say, and the area around it is a little more red than the rest of my vaginal area.
I'd just like to know if I need to go to a doctor, or if this will go away soon. I'm a bit of a nervous wreck at the moment.

I had one too.  It turned out to be a pimple.  I just kept it clean and dry as possible. I wouldn't suggest having sex until its gone. Bacteria.  If I doesn't go away in a week then go to a doctor. or if it gets severely worse.  Pimples in that area can become staph infections.  I am not a doctor but I wouldn't worry until then.

Thank you. I'll wait a week then, and if it gets worse or doesn't go away, I'll make an appointment.

It's still there, and I'm concerned it could be something serious. Should I go to the hospital?
It went down, and no longer hurts, but it's still there.
