Burns down there

I find this so embarrassing to even ask but for few months I've noticed I've been really red and itchy down there. Every time I shave it feels like I cut myself and burns the same way for few hours but I don't have cuts. I'm always very itchy and I can't control so I do itch a lot. Then when I go to the bathroom I notice that itchy part burns a lot. This irritation has been for months now and it's almost everyday. I havent been active about a year and half so I don't see why I have this problem. Also, I used to get brazilians back then and started shaving after.

That's good.

I use the yogurt when I start to feel sore,  works better than any medical cream.

Glad that you are much improved.

Best wishes.

I don't know what pictures that you looked at for thrush.
Sometimes with thrush you may get a white discharge, sometimes there will be no discharge, but you will experience soreness, itchiness.

You can also get thrush in the mouth and in the throat.  The mouth will feel sore with a white tongue or white patches may be visible.

It may be a good idea for you to make an appointment with your doctor and get a swab taken.  Once the results are back from the lab, you will be then prescribed with the correct medication to treat your condition.

Do you find the yogurt helps to cool down the burning and itching?

Best wishes.

I'm really skinny and don't sweat much. I researched pictures of thrush and I don't have that. But the symptoms are exact. Maybe it's an early stage? I have been doing the yogurt and oats thing.

Thank you

Follow the advice I have given you to help to get rid of it and also to avoid getting it again.

If you overweight and sweat a lot or take antibiotics, this is something that you will get from time to time.

Best wishes.

It is very hard not to scratch, but try not to scratch because this can damage the skin and thicken it, causing Lichen Planus if you haven't already got this.

It sounds very much like you have a yeast infection called Thrush.
When you wash, do not use soaps or shower gels as this destroys the good flora, dries the skin and makes it more itchy.

Only wear cotton underwear and no tight clothing like tights and trousers.  Cotton helps the skin to breathe, whereas manmade fibres make you sweat more and thereby causing more irritation.

If you suffer from diabetes, make sure your sugar is controlled.  But in any event cut out or at least cut down on sugary foods and drinks.

You can buy antifungal creams from the pharmacist and he will advise you which one you can purchase.  There is also an oral capsule which is a single dose, called Fluconazole 150mg.  You can purchase this from the pharmacy (may be called different in your country if you are not in the UK).

Or you can see your doctor so that he can prescribe a antifungal/antibacterial cream for you.  Or take a swab to identify the fungus or bacteria that is causing your problem.

As well as the antifungal/antibacterial cream, you may benefit from applying a moisturiser that is suitable for that area, like Dibrobase, Doublebase, Demol.

As a home remedy you can bathe with a couple of handfuls of oats in the bath and also apply natural live yogurt.  The yogurt cools down the inflamed skin and will help to stop the itching.

Drink more water, 2-3 litres is usually recommended, more it is hot or you workout.  Consume natural live yogurt to help boost your good bacteria.
Wipe your bottom from front to back and wash your hands after you have used the toilet and before eating food.

You may also have an allergy to the shaving.

If you have anal itching that has spread to the front, it may be threadworms. Look at your faeces to see if there are any thin white threads.  This can easily be treated by getting the medication from the pharmacist to get rid of threadworms.

Best wishes.
