Conceiving after 4 Terminations

I know there are alot of closed minded and judemental people out there and i DO NOT want to hear from you.. This is strictly a medical question.. I am not looking for opinions on terminations. I am already fully aware.

Over the course of 4 years i have had 4 surgical terminations within the first trimester due to personal reasons. I had not experienced any bad side effects until the 4th. I experienced unusual bleeding and stomach pains for at least a month.

I am interested in hearing the storied of people who have been in a similar situation and whether or not you experienced any problems with conceiving or problems whilst pregnant.

I appreciate you help!

Because of the amount of terminations you have had, there could be a number of complications that can cause fertility problems or problems conceiving or carrying a baby to term. You may have scar tissue built up from all of the abortions you had that can cause a number of problems. If you do get pregnant, you are more likely to have an ectopic pregnancy or suffer a miscarriage. You are also more likely to deliver a premature baby. These are all things to watch out for and to go over with your doctor. Talk to your doctor about your concerns and then go from there.

Hi

Im gonna stress that having a termination for what ever reasons should not prevent chances of getting pregnant according to my doctor of 10 years. I had a surgical termination  7 weeks ago (Medical reasons) I was absolutley distraught and still am,  i bled for 2 weeks and then stopped ive been on folic acid now for 6 weeks and been ttc for 4 week.  Ive yet to have a period and so i could be pregnant with my 3rd.  Everybody is different and each body repairs in there own way.  You could do with sitting down with your doc and see how they feel on when you should start concieving.  I was told i could try 3 weeks after the procedure..  Hope this helps

It's different for everyone, but obviously from what you're saying you realize that it can cause problems with fertility and conception... honestly only a doctor who has worked with you throughout these terminations can tell you whether or not you personally will have problems... I would start there. Are you looking to conceive soon, or are you asking for the future? Either way, you should talk to the OBGYN who treated you before and after the procedures, they'll have the best insight into what effects they had on your body.
