Could I be Pregnant this soon after removing the copper IUD?

On May 8th, 2008 I started my last period. The next day I had my copper IUD (Internal Uterine Device) removed which I've had implanted for almost 2 years. I've been sexually active since its been removed and am now 3 days late with no sign that its coming other than my breasts have been sore for about a week now. I've been very sleepy & lately become very bloated feeling. I also about a week ago had really weird cramps on one side of my pelvis. I had cramps before many times that would come and go quickly but these felt much different, almost like an aching that lasted a few days. Iv'e also suddenly been craving certain foods. Could I be pregnant already? Or are these just signs that my period is coming and is just different due to my body adjusting to the copper IUD being removed which is the non-hormonal IUD by the way.

This morning being 5days late I took 3 pregnancy tests this morning and they all came back positive so I must have gotten pregnant immediately! I'm so excited! By the way I took 2 Clear Blue Easy and 1 First Response like the doctors recommended on here! Hope someone can take some knowledge from this.

Thanks so much for you info...I know its common sense to go get a pg test, I just hate to buy one to soon and have it come out negative. The doctor that removed my IUD told me that it could take a few months before I become fertile again, but I thought that was only with the Mirena IUD which has hormones.

as soon as you take out your IUD you CAN become pregnant... so it IS possible...  take a pregnancy test, if it's negative, wait about another week and if your period still hasnt came, take another one.  if your period still doesnt come and it's still negative, then you need to talk to your doctor
