Could I be pregnant?

I had unprotected sex yesterday it was the 5th day of my period and I am not on birth control. I called the pharmacist to see if I should get the day after pill and he said it's not needed. Could I still get pregnant?

I would say it's possible that you could get pregnant but not likely. It's really up to you as to how cautious you want to be. I would suggest thought that if you are going to have unprotected sex and you're not ready for children maybe try other forms of contraception ie birth control, diaphragm etc Best wishes BB

Hi,
You can get pregnant at any time, but I would think it's not very likely on the 5th day of your period.  I would do what you feel is necessary and right though.  Do you know about ovulation, have you read up on it?  You may find that interesting.  Good luck on whatever you decide!
