Going to the Dentist While Pregnant

I am 15 weeks pregnant and on my tooth the filling came out.  My question is.....Is it ok to get worked on while pregnant as far as a filling goes?  I really need to get it taken care of before it leads to something worse like an infection.  I have heard that xrays weren't good, but I won't need one of those just going to fix this one tooth and get a cleaning.  I just wanted to know before I made the mistake of going if you shouldn't.

would the dentist need to give you anything like novacaine or nitrous oxide? i dont think either of those are cool while preggo but i would definitly call your obgyn just to be on the safe side. dentist would know too.

I went to the dentist while I was pregnant. Acording to the baby book experts, it's a good idea to keep your regular appointments because your unborn child can drain the calcium from your teeth - making you more vulnerable to cavities.

You should be fine.  I have had dental work done while pg.  Just explain it to your dentist if they do not already know.  You have to get that taken care of ASAP!!!!!!  Good Luck to you.
