Could my vagina be too small?

Could I be too small or just have vaginismus. If I feel down there my walls contract a little, even if I'm not trying/ if I'm not nervous, and if the walls don't contract it feels a little uncomfortable to insert my finger or fingers...and when my doctor did my check-up I contracted a little and it hurted really bad for them to check down there. Is it that I'm too small, just nervous, or does it sound like vaginismus?

i don't think it's that you're too small. the vagina is meant to stretch and go back just like a normal muscle, that's how we have babies! this is a personal question and you don't have to answer but, have you ever been sexually assaulted or raped? When a women has had some sort of trauma in that area it can cause them to become extremely anxious and nervous when anything is going on down there and you will contract your muscles without even realizing that you're doing it. if you contract your muscles while a penis, a finger or a speculum is going inside your vagina it is going to hurt. i would talk to your doctor about this and see if there is anything they can suggest that can help. good luck!
