Today, April 6, for about a week now I have been having menstrual cramps like I normally used every month. But, I haven't gotten my period. My last period was March 2. Before that, I had not had my period for about three months. Also two weeks after my last period (March 19ish?) I also had terrible cramps but no period. My mom also had cramps that day, but she did actually get her period. My period has been EXTREMELY irregular lately. I generally dont know if I will get it that month or not. But twice now i've had these cramps but no period. I have tried looking up this issue and everyone says it is pregnancy, which in my case, is impossible. So there is no way that I am pregnant, but I am worried that something else might be wrong. Also, i'm 17 years old, if that helps.
I'm 20 and I still have yet to have a normal cycle, last year, I had one period for three days. All the dr.'s I went to told me I was perfectly fine. Having cramps at different times throughout the month is probably just PMS. I suggest getting on to a birth control pill to help regulate, that's been the only thing that's helped me
I get cramps 2 weeks before I get a period. Not always though. Sometimes if you feel a crampy feeling it could be ovulation, then 12-18 days later you'll have a period. Keep in mind not everyone feels ovulation though. Since your only 17 years old and the irregular cycles have just begun, I'd definitely talk to your dr or go see an OBGYN about the irregular cycle. How irregular are you? Could be PCOS. Definitely talk to your doctor.
