Dark brown discharge

Hi,

I need to understand how I can get rid off the brown discharge from my vagina. It has happened mid periods and now it is almost 10 days that it continues to get discharged. Earlier I thought it would turn to be my periods but it hasnt turned out to be my periods. I am concerned.

Any solutions as to how i can stop this and what might have cause it?

Thanks

Hi Veree..

Thank you for your suggestion. However, would just like to clarify for how long can this old blood be discharged? Since its already 10 days and above also this is not a carry forward to my periods, it has happened before my periods.

let me know your thoughts.

Thank you

Well the brown discharge is old blood. I dont think its anything that really needs to make you concerned, its just annoying. I ususally use a douche after my period is over to rinse out any old blood that may be hanging around. I've found it to work really well. I've even used a douche the last few days of my period when its really light, and it usually rinse me out so good that I dont even have to wear a pad for my last two days. Hope that helps.
