DepoProvera for 10days to induce period-advice please

Hello, wondering if anyone can give me advice or personal experiences with Provera.  I haven't had my period in 7 months after taking the morning after pill, and my doctor prescribed Provera for 10 days to induce my period.  I am afraid of taking it though because i don't want any more weight gain or hormonal imbalance issues which is what i'm already experienceing.  Anyone taken Provera for 10 days to start their period?  what happened?  Thanks>

Depo provera is a shot for birth control. Provera is a hormone pill to jump start your period. I was given provera (hormone pill) to jump start my period after getting off depo, it ended up taking exactly 6 weeks after my last Provera pill to get my period back, but I also had a cyst on my ovary and my body was messed up from the depo shot, I have heard after you last provera pill it doesnt take as long as it did for me to get your period back. And it's depo provera that can make you gain weight not provera hormone pill.
