r u seeing reg. doctors or ob/gyn's?. my advice is i'd find a good ob, i had a fibroid tumor in my uterus that caused me 2 bleed, and caused me constant pain.
I can only think of two things: 1) Check to see if there is a birth center in your area. Most birth centers provide general reproductive health services, not just pregnancy issues. This may be better for you b/c birth centers are typically run by certified nurse midwives (CNMs). CNMs have a different range of what they can and cannot treat based on what state you are in. I'm in Mass. and they can do quite a bit here. If you are having a serious health problem they may not be able to treat you, but they will more than likely take you seriously and will probably know where to refer you. 2) Consider looking into alternative/holistic health care providers. Perhaps you can find an acupuncturist that works in reproductive health. Acupuncture is being taken more seriously, as even those in Western medicine are beginning to acknowledge that it works. I don't know if this advice helps you at all, but it's all I can thiink of at the moment. I hope you are able to find out what is going on and that everything turns out ok. Best of luck to you.
if i were you i'd contact the medical board in your state and report these doctors for not wanting to help or not referring you to another dr that can and will help.
Thank you for all the advice, the doctors that I had been seeing were OBGYN's. I am in touch with a hospital worker this evening over dinner and she is getting me the numbers of our state rep.'s for this issue of not seeing me. And thank you all again.
Not sure what state you are in, but The Cleveland Clinic has hospitals all over the country and they have a wide range of Specialists!
My 16 year old is suffering with a very simular problem and I am currently taking her to a local Ob/Gyn that also specailize in Reproductucive heatlth. But they are still NOT doing enough. I have her scheduled to see a Specialist at the Cleveland Clinic in Naples Florida, but the soonest I could get her an appt. there was the end of Dec. So for now she is having tests run by the local one and I will just take all the results etc. to them. Just to be on the safe side!
So maybe you can check to see if there is a Cleveland Clinic within traveling distance for you.
And no I don't work for them LOL Not a commercial for them.. Just have heard amazing things and am hoping for results. Finally.
Good luck in your search and fight to GET those idiots that wouldn't see you. And WHEN you are diagnosed, I would sue the **** out of each of them for Malpractice and Negligence. Keep all of you records and bills from them just in case you need it. If you don't have your records, GET THEM!! Before they know that you are after them.
Good Luck--J
