Does Low Progesterone Affect Early Pregnancy

Was diagnosed 3 years ago with bilateral hydrosalpinx. Was told no chance of normal pregnancy. Now have positive pregnancy test with HCG of 5k but low progesterone of 10k. Have concern of ectopic pregnancy. Anyone with similar issues on levels or history? Thank you in advance for any info.

Progesterone is needed to help substain a pregnancy till the placenta takes over. If your levels are too low, generally your body will miscarry. I'm a little confused when you say 10k though as in most cases that would be 10,000 and I've never heard of levels that high. Did you mean something else? If your levels are indeed low, speak with your doctor and ask about them putting you on suppliments.
