Does anyone have any info on the SOHO JOBS

I am getting a divorce and am need of a job that I can do at home badly.  I have 4 children with the youngest at 3 1/2 months and a 2 months premature so I really need to keep him out of child care.  I ran across this site and it has a lot of what looks like good stay-at-home jobs but they want you to buy a membership to their site before you can apply for a job.  I don't want to waste any money on schemes but if it is liget I will gladly pay.

I am so grateful I Googled my question and found this thread!  I had the same question that meikman had and now feel confident checking out Alpine Access.  I just wanted to say, "Thanks!" before leaving this site.

Thank you all!

I have. SOHO is real and is worth the fee. I signed up twice and found many many opportuniteis with real companies for OTHERS! Not me...I was looking just to look. I applied for a few and got one (real estate assistant) but dropped it for personal reasons. However, if you are skilled, professional or educated, you will find anything from Administrative Assistants to Computer programmers, rsphiocs designers, call center, customer service, freelance writing and photography, andeven medical coding, transcription and much more.

Did you ever join SOHO? Did you get a job? Would you recommend it to others?

Thanks Meikman!  Your feedback with your experience is greatly appreciated.  I have been in search for a legit opportunity, and have learned my lessons about scams (what to look for, etc.)  I am seriously considering paying the fee to access this site, as I believe I have the skills to obtain some of the job listings I've seen so far.  I'm sure there will be people that won't get jobs when they apply, but that is the case with all application processes.  If your skills don't match up to the employers needs, I would save your money; but if they do, it sounds like a worthy investment.  Thanks too, for explaining the reasons SOHOJobs.org has to charge fees in the first place.  It only makes sense that they would require generating some type of income to cover the cost of operations.  If/when I sign up I will definitely use your referral code.  It sounds like a good deal for both of us!  :-)  I hope you continue in your success too!

SOHOJobs.org is legit.  It requires a fee to help cover the costs of webhosting and research to ensure that the jobs are legit.  I have been very happy with the service on the site and the other members (not to mention those in charge of the site) are all very helpful.  Within 2 weeks of becoming a member, I found a job, working form home, eliminating day care.  The only issue that I see from what was said above is that you do need a quiet place to work.

If you are still considering joining, first go to the site and request a free newsletter.  They will send you a list of the current jobs that they have posted (without the hiring information) so that you can see if this is the right place for you to join.

Please keep in mind that SOHO never guarantees a job, just the postings.  You still have to apply for the positions.  If you do chose to join, please use me as your referrer - se8pdsm - as it will help me to extend my membership.  With my code - you can get 2 years for the price of 1.

That is something like some of the jobs that they have posted on the SOHO site The site wants a membership fee.  So you have to pay them for the info.  I have heard of jobs out there like that but am not sure how to obtain them.  Maybe this site will be worth it.

I have no family to help with childcare, and I have no friends.  I have been a SAHM for almost 7 years now and my husband is very controlling.  For childcare they want $175 per week just for my youngest since he is consider "special need"  and an addition $100 a week for my two girls.  I just can't afford child care and my son cant afford to be there since he is so spectible to germs.

There is also a company called workathomeagents.com.  You take orders for home shopping, pizza hut, etc.  You do it from home and it costs nothing to get started.  All you need is a phone and at least a dsl connection speed.  My husband is doing that at night while going back to school.  Because it is paid by the minute, he has earned anywhere from $5-$10 per hour.  I'm thinking about doing it too becuase it's nice to have the extra spending money and it's really very simple.

If you have any other questions, please do not hesitate to ask.

i have never done this but my sister is selling arbonne (i might have spelled it wrong) it is all natural cosmetics sorta like Avon I think. She didnt have to spend much to start selling and if you know others that are interested you can make more money. I am not saying it is a great money maker, but it has helped her bring in a little extra cash. Just a thought! :) Good Luck!

I totally agree with the poster who said this is probably a scam. Stay away from stuff like this.

If you really need to work at home, in addition to the makeup idea, you could also do sex toy parties. Seriously. Selling sex toys is pretty lucrative and not hard to do. There's usually at least a minimal start-up cost to buy the products to show, but especially if you get word-of-mouth advertising (a friend has a party, and one of her friends has a party...), you can probably make it back relatively easily. The downside is that you will need childcare while you're at parties, but the good thing is that your hours there will probably be fairly minimal. Just a thought :-)

As a rule of thumb, the majority of the time you have to pay to look at things which you shouldn't (i.e. jobs) it is a scam.
