Drug interaction Zyban and Triphasil

by pseudo, Jun 28, 2005 12:00AM
Hello all, I have a question about drug interaction. I hope someone can advise. Would the following two drugs interact with eachother and lessen the effects of either? Zyban (Bupropian Hydrochloride) and Triphasil (a common birth control medication? Thank you in advance.

NO clinically significant interactions. As you are on Zyban that means you are an ex smoker or trying to quit. Academically though decrease smoke intake> decreased Liver enzyme Cytochrome P450 stimulation & so the Triphasil effects will last longer, in away more efficacy, effectiveness of birth control meds.
