Early Menopause?

I am 36 years old and have periods that last 2 weeks.  I'm incredibly irregular and my periods often don't coincide with symptoms (sore breasts, water retention, irritability).  My body temperature is eratic and I have a week's worth of hot flashes before my period.  I've noticed these changes just in the last year.  It seems each period lasts longer and longer and I have very little time between periods to "recover."  Is it possible at my age to be experiencing early menopausal symptoms?

My mother went to several OB/GYN's when she was in her 30's to find out what was wrong with her periods.  She thought it was early menopause...but the Dr's just blew her off and said she was to young.  Finally she found a Dr that would actually listen to her and she was right...it was early menopause.  She ended up deciding to have a hystorectomy done.  My mom does have health problems like thyroid, but it was checked and in normal range.  I work in a compounding pharmacy and we make creams and pills for people that do hormone replacement therapy.  You might want to find a Dr that will listen too you and do some testing.  If its hormonal ask about replacement therapy.  The people that we do that for love it very much they say it helps sooo much.

Yes, but it could also be an out-of-whack thryroid, sugar
imbalance or even an hormonal imbalance.  I recommend checking
in with your doctor or GYN.
