Excess bleeding

I have been pretty regular for years, this month I was a week late when I finally started.  I have been bleeding now for 12 days.  normally I would have light bleeding for the first 2 days, then heavy for one day and then it would be gone by the 5th day. This have been fairly heavy for most of this 12+ days.  In your opinion, should I wait to see if it stops on it's own or should I go see my DR.  I don't take any birth control.  Any advice would be great.  Thanks for your time.

I would see a doctor as well--something similar happened with me...I'd bleed weeks at a time on heavy flow. It was absolutely ridiculous...hopefully your doctor can help!!

I would Go see a doctor, that is not good and something could be wrong, specially for 12 days.
