Good luck at the doctor, let us know how it goes!
I wasn't ruling out an STD, I just didn't want it to be the first and only thing she concentrated on as having wrong with her, and I do agree what you say about previous partners, etc. :)
first of all you can't rule out an std just because you've been with someone for 2 years. you NEVER know who he has been with. not saying he cheated, but possible people before you. your partner can tell you oh, i've only been with one other person and they were clean but you have no way of knowing that because unfortunately, people lie. and some stds can take a while to start showing symptoms.
what you describe sounds like either a yeast infection or BV (Bacterial vaganosis.) go to the pharmacy and buy a vagasil screening kit. it will test your PH and tell you if it's a yeast infection or something more serious. If your PH comes back high go to the doctor, let them know you did the kit and you will most likely test positive for BV. if you have good health insurance and money isn't issue i would get everything tested just to be on the safe side.
Thanks you for responding!
I havent really noticed my urine being cloudy. but it is very yellow. but honestly that is the only other symptom I have really experienced. And thanks for the advice I have an appointment tomorrow!
Ok, first of all, I don't think it is an STD if you've been with the same partner for two years and have been faithful. Hopefully he has been faithful as well and you can rule that out :)
Unfortunately there are many things it could be such as a yeast infection, bacterial vaginosis, or it could even be as simple as a change of chemical balance in your body that throws off a different or slightly foul odor down there. The worst thing you can do is keep washing it or "deoderizing" it (for lack of a better term) with powders, creams, soaps, perfumes, it will just make the smell worse!
Is your urine cloudy? Do you notice any other symptoms? I would suggest that you see your obgyn just to be on the safe side. Good luck to you!
