Soreness after losing virginity?

It has been 3 days since losing my virginity. It was my guys first time too. The morning after, I woke up to find the lips of my vagina opening were swollen and sore. I used and ice pack off and on all day that day and took some ibuprofen. The swelling there has gone down, still a little sore but feels better than it did. However I'm still pretty sore on the upper and inner part of the vagina. It is sore to the touch and I can feel a small bump. We used latex condoms and I'm wondering if it is just an allergic reaction? I am prone to irritations. If I change washing powders I always get a little irritated. I'm pretty sure there was enough lubricant however we did not use any extra. It did get a little rough at the end but nothing too bad. I have still been taking ibuprofen and used the ice pack a few more times. Will the soreness go away on its own? Is this something to worry about? I actually have an appointment with my gynecologist for my yearly check up at the end of next month. Do I need to see her before then?
