HPV

I think i have HPV and i dont really know how to handle it. I havent been to the dr. yet i just dont have time but i look at it in the mirror and i have these warts on my cervix and anus. They dont hurt and they arent red or clear. They are flesh colored. they are not uncomfortable at all they just worry me. my mom is a nurse and she said it could be HPV bc i thought it was herpes. I asked my cousin about it cuz she has herpes and she said that she doesnt think i have it cuz i dont have the same things she has but you never know. Im gonna leave my mind open so if it is herpes ill already be in that mind state. I just need help from anyone who can tell me about HPV and what it looks like please. I know its a weird question but please.

It is most likely a form of hpv if it does not hurt, it is most likely NOT herpes, herpes can be red blisters, or like pimples, or even vaginal cuts and they are painful!..hpv warts are not painful but can come flesh colored and they can appear inside your vagina or on the outside and even analy..to make sure you should go see your gyn and have them test you, take care...

The only way to know for sure is to see your gyno.  They'll do a pap smear and if they see abnormal cell change they'll check for HPV.  If you have the kind of HPV that causes the warts then it's unlikely that you'll have the strain that causes cervical cancer.  There's no cure, but your doc will be able to prescribe you something to help with the warts.  Also, there's no HPV test for men.  It's crazy that this is all they can do when HPV is the most common STI.
