sore right breast with lump

Hi all. For the last 3 months my right breast has been sore to the right of it near arm pit, and also there is a lump there. When i have my periods the soreness goes away a little bit but the lump is still there. I have my periods very regular. I am a size 16 DD. Can anyone shed some light on what it could be

Dellar,
As a 3 1/2 breast cancer survivor.  I can only tell you that "LUMPS" of any sort are not normal.  Do not mess around with lumps.  Lumps regardless of what it might be do not belong in our breasts.  If you do not have Insurance you can always call the American Cancer Society800)227-2345 they can give you information to get a free Mammograhm in your area.
Good luck to you

Well, it could be mastitis, or a saline cyst, or breast cancer.  Why don't you see a doctor and not just wonder?  The first two things are not serious, but of course the third one is and should not be let go very long.
