Having a period early in pregnancy....

I've read a few things and talked to a few "experienced people" (ie, my mom) and I was wondering if it actually IS possible to get your period during pregnancy.

In the last 5 days or so (it's also been about a week since ovulation) I've been extremely fatigued and I get random nausea in the mornings and early afternoons. I haven't thrown up, but I've been close.

Starting yesterday, the last day of hormones on my pill cycle, my period started unexpectedly, but by this morning it was completely non-existent, and now it's sort of settled in to an unusual, inconsistent flow.

I know these are all signs of pregnancy, but could it also be changes in hormones? I just recently (the beginning of August) switched from a normal-dose birth control to a very low-dose one and missed a few pills this month (though not in a row).

Should I get tested just to be sure? I'm a little confused.

MAYBE IT COULD BE THE CHANGE IN THE BIRTH CONTROL PILL, THE MISSED PILLS AND EVEN PREGNANCY, BUT TO BE SAFE, YOU SHOULD VISIT  A GYNOCOLOGIST AND HAVE A BLOOD PREGNANCY TEST DONE.  YOU SHOULDN'T BE DRINKING BIRTH CONTROL PILLS IF YOUR PREGNANT, SO YOU NEED TO KNOW RIGHT AWAY.

it could very well be the birthcontrol change. but still, you should take a pregnancy test. there are cases of bcp's not working.good luck :-)
