does anyone know what internal derangement of the knee is and what they do for it? I'm scared.
ive been doing the exercises for 4 yrs and nothings helped...the ortho took xrays today and you can tell how my knee isnt aligned right...i have to get an mri for knee internal derangement watever that is
i assume you've been doing physical therapy in order to strenghten the weaker side of your knee. usually in a tracking problem, the outside knee muscles are stronger and pull the knee in that direction - so the inside muscles need to be strengthened. my daughter is a dancer (ballet) and dances 6 to 7 x/week, and had that problem last year. the exercises really helped her. good luck :)
i saw an orthopedic 4 yrs ago when i first hurt it and he mentioned surgery but we have been puttin it off until i grad. college this year b/c i am the starting pitcher, but i cant take the pain any longer
I'd have the surgery. If this is the first specialist you have spoken to, you might find that he is more helpful than the general practitioners you have spoken to, and more likely to consider surgery as a viable option.
